What you'll do

Docusign is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Developer to join our Business Application Engineering team. As a Marketing Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing platforms that drive business growth. You will work closely with the marketing product team and other marketers to apply marketing automation capabilities within the organization.

You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You enjoy helping the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggesting ways to make the team more effective, and mentoring and modeling engineering methodologies.

This position is an individual contributor role, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Understand the business requirements and translate them into technical design, and implement new features or product enhancements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, IT, and Data & Analytics, to ensure that the marketing technology solutions meet the needs of the business
  • Understand the Plan to Campaign, Campaign to Lead and Lead to Opportunity business process
  • Maintain a good overall understanding of lead lifecycle and experience in setting up different lead management processes such as lead scoring
  • Digitize capabilities related Plan to Campaign, Campaign to Lead and Lead to Opportunity business process areas on MarTech stack
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging marketing technologies and trends, and evaluate and recommend new technologies
  • Develop a solution prototype and define the path to production
  • Create and manage marketing automation workflows
  • Develop and execute A/B testing and other experiments to improve marketing performance
  • Ensure that our marketing technology solutions comply with data security and privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Leverage business process knowledge and expertise to identify gaps and recommend system improvements
  • Participate in and drive technology, tool and System Integrator selection
  • Define problem statements, develop solution options, and present recommendations to key collaborators to drive consensus

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Marketing developer, implementing MarTech tools (e.g. Eloqua, Segment, ActionIQ, Demandbase)
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing Operations functions supporting enterprise B2B Marketing, demand generation and sales operations
  • Hands-on experience with Eloqua or an equivalent Marketing automation platform at a system administration level
  • 4+ years of proven experience with data integration, data mapping, and no-code API-based integrations between marketing applications and other business systems
  • Experience specifically with REST APIs and working with JSON
  • 4+ years of experience with JavaScript (ideally with jQuery)
  • Experience using SQL queries in a data warehouse like Snowflake
  • Experience with Snowflake and similar data warehouse platforms to run and analyze data
  • In-depth process knowledge including Campaign to Lead, Lead to Opportunity, Opportunity to Quote, and Customer Success motions
  • Experience with enterprise system implementations for global companies with Annual Revenue >$5B
  • Experience in working on an agile scrum team

Preferred

  • IT industry experience at enterprise scale
  • Experience with data architecture and API access
  • Experience building CDP for large enterprise
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt as needed
  • Experience developing, managing, and coaching teams
  • Expertise in implementing Marketing Automation Platforms like Eloqua, Marketo, CDP, and Demandbase for ABM
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Google Analytics, Tableau
  • Ability to multi-task and scale quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teammate able to work with global multi-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
